Sluice | Ma première drogue

Acadian power-pop on the blog and playlist to start off a new week.

Sluice is primarily Trevor Murphy: well known in East Coast circles for his promotional work with lots of indie acts and also through his own musical output as a member of Quiet Parade and other projects. Sluice released its first single last summer, the catchy Power-Pop hit Un été sans frontières. This latest is the band’s third release in advance of an album Le succès par le travail slated for release in late April.

This latest track was released alongside a charming video, which hints at the story of the song, which “reflects on the all encompassing nature of young love, dwelling on the addicting feeling of discovering it for the first time. ” (Press release).
