A perfect discovery for a cold, winter morning: this shoegazey, dream-pop track from Nagoya’s Morningwhim.
Smoke from Cigarettes is the B-side to one of two singles released by the 4-piece band last year, this one on Osaka indie label Miles Apart Records. The band is relatively recent, forming in 2019 but receiving some quick attention on local indie scenes. In the mostly Japanese-language reviews I can find, comparisons to The Pains of Being Pure at Heart seem most common.
